Autumn evenings

There’s a lot on offer this term to keep you busy in the evenings at St Cuthbert’s. There’s our regular church activities: home groups, Knit Stitch and Natter, and of course the business meetings that keep the church running smoothly.

But there’s some special extras, mainly on Sunday evenings, that we’d like you to know about.

Prayer & Worship

As part of our year long focus on prayer, we have four evening prayer and worship events, bringing different styles of engaging with God. All of them are at 6pm, and will last approximately an hour. These are the dates to put in your diary:

Deep dives into the Bible

Next year, we will switch to focussing on the Bible, and we are inviting everyone to read the Bible in a year, using Nicky Gumbel;s app. To help prepare us for this journey, there are three evening events at St Catherine’s & St Paul’s Church, on 21 September, 19 October and 16 November. These start at 6.30pm

Word & Worship

Finally, St Cuthbert’s is hosting a Churches Together event in Wednesday 8 October. Pastor Ayo Emmanuel from the Redeemed Church of God in Hoddesdon will be preaching. The service starts at 7.30pm
